Guild Wars explained

Contents in this article could be subject to change. When this happens, we will either inform you through a new announcement and/or through a changelog at the bottom.

Guild Wars

Guild Wars is the biggest reason to join a Guild in The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land! Introduced in December 2018 and released as a beta in January 2020, Guild Wars has been running an average of 6 to 7 times a year.

Currently, most Guild Wars consist of 2 war weeks, followed by a 1-week break, to be concluded by 2 more war weeks. After that, we usually don’t run Guild Wars for 2 to 3 weeks.

A Guild Wars season consists of 4 war weeks, each with 6 battles (Tuesday to Sunday). Each player can participate in 2 battles with a maximum of 10 players per day, and a battle consists of a maximum of 18 missions.

Some of our most active community members set up a Fan Wiki, including all the information on Guild Wars, as well as strategies. You can find out all about Guild Wars on this Fan Wiki.

Schedule 2025

Guild Wars usually runs with 2 war weeks, 1 break week, another 2 war weeks, and then a 3-week rest. However, there are some exceptions.

Guild Wars always aims not to have a Guild Wars week during the community’s Girl Power event for International Women’s Day. We are also aware that a slight majority of our community would rather not have Guild Wars weeks during December’s Holiday season.

To accommodate this, we would like to share the first half year of Guild Wars dates, so you know what will happen upfront. We will announce the next half year with plenty of time to prepare as well.

While the following dates are not set in stone, our current aim is the following schedule:

Guild Shop

Participating in Guild Wars grants you RP (Reward Points), which can be used to obtain new items. You can view the current Guild Shop format below.

Known issues

We know that even after 5 years, Guild Wars is still in beta, with the reason being that some recurring issues are difficult to resolve. We recently were able to resolve one of the biggest issues - disappearing missions. That said, we would like to use this article to acknowledge a few recurring ones. We will update this article when something is resolved or when something new occurs.

In case you experience something unintentional, including issues other than the ones listed below, please reach out to our Customer Support (link here, although you’re helped faster when reaching out in-game through the settings). They aim to resolve it before the war ends, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this. While we are able to return lost attack swords within the day of war, we unfortunately are not able to adjust Victory Points.

Blue Dots

When you lose your internet connection for a bit, when you experience memory issues on your device, or when you crash for any other reason, you can sometimes see the blue dot on the mission you were playing, indicating that someone is still working to resolve the mission. However, the blue dot will tell you that YOU are the one inside the mission.

If you enter the same mission, another mission, or someone else enters the mission, one of your attack swords gets lost.

In these cases, the best remedy is to simply wait a minute or two, for the game to reconnect to the servers and update the mission to completed status. Trying to restart your game could also help to set you back in the mission you were playing.

Sign-up removal pop-up

When your Guild Leader removes you from a battle day, you get the pop-up "Sign-up removed" every time you launch the game, sometimes for weeks. While we agree with you this is annoying, this will fix itself in the next season. Want to get rid of it sooner? Leave your guild and rejoin.

Unbalanced matchmaking

Players may sometimes encounter unfair matchmaking during Guild Wars. This usually occurs when a guild member leaves the guild on the day of the battle, resulting in an unbalanced match.
